No more fences.

2 weeks.

2 weeks until the last day I will see these people, my new family in this house.
2 weeks until I'm gone from a life-changing experience like no other.

Katimavik. It's not the end, but it's near.
Steinbach has been so short! But so incredible! The friendly people, the hectic business of everything, playing the guitar, more interesting people than I thought I'd meet, the farm...

2 weeks doesn't end for me here though.  I guess Katimavik just hasn't been enough for me.  No, I want to gain more independence.  How?  Adventure.  So I'm coming home a month later, and I'm going to BC!

" I didn't know she was that wild," David, a friend here said. "No, she's wild," says Jean.

I can do this now. I can make my own choices, I can be bold, I can live.
"Remember to live, Remember to give"  That's my life motto now.  To live and to give.
I'm not sure if I wrote this earlier, but as Gairhardt, one of my friends at the coop once said, "the only rule to live by is the golden rule."  Do unto others... you know it, I'll always go by that one.  I'll never forget to be considerate- it's what I do.  But for now, it's time for me to step out a little, do something without looking back, without letting fear get in my way.

Katimavik has done so much for me, but the red flags, the limitations and the ropes, I don't need them anymore.  I've learned a lot, been introduced to so many new things, and a lot of people that I'll keep in touch with for years to come.  The experience doesn't end here for me either.  I'm staying in Manitoba for longer, then I'm going back to Chisasibi for at least four months.

"Wild."  Never been called that before.  Spitfire, yes, and Spacey, down-to-earth, but never wild.

So for now, life's just an adventure I guess.  No fears holding me back.
